Agenda DAP : Samakan Status Kristian Dengan Islam?

Is DAP pushing for equal status between Christianity and Islam?

former Chief Justice
“Rata-rata orang bukan Islam di Malaysia tidak senang dengan kedudukan agama Islam sebagai agama Persekutuan,” said former Chief Justice Tun Abdul Hamid Mohamad.
“Mereka mahu agama-agama mereka juga diberi kedudukan yang sama,” Tun Hamid said in a speech when he buka puasa with Perkasa last week.
Who are the non-Muslims alleged by Tun Hamid that want their religion to be given the same status as Islam?

Surely not the Hindus and Buddhists

Tun Hamid cannot possibly mean the Hindus who make up a mere 6.3 percent of the population. Hindus, in Malaysia comprising mostly the Tamils, are generally not rich people and hence not powerful.
The Taoists are even a smaller population segment (1.3 percent) while the Sikhs are negligible in number.
Now if the Buddhists had wanted equal status for Buddhism, they would have made their demand earlier in our history when MCA was strong and influential. They did not.
Does Tun Hamid mean the Christians then?

Trickery to Christianize the Malays

In his 17 June 2014 speech, Tun Hamid said:
“Saya juga hairan mengapa ada golongan yang dipanggil ‘ulama’ dan ilmuan Islam tidak nampak muslihat gereja Roman Katholik yang hendak memakai kalimah ‘Allah’ dalam bible Bahasa Melayu dan upacara gereja dalam Bahasa Melayu selepas 500 tahun kecewa mengkristiankan orang Melayu secara besar-besaran.”
Speaking about the group who are dissatisfied with the status of Islam as sole Religion of the Federation, Tun Hamid said:
“Mereka juga tidak puas hati dengan peruntukan Perlembagaan yang tidak membenarkan orang bukan Islam menyebarkan agama mereka kepada orang Islam. Selain dari itu, mereka pergi ke merata dunia untuk memburukkan Islam kerana Islam tidak membenarkan penganutnya murtad …”
In this regard, Tun Hamid is most definitely referring to the Christians.

“Let your kingdom come; Rise up and take Subang for Jesus!”

Church: Christians granted rights of leadership

The Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) had in the run-up to GE13 urged voters to elect a federal government which would relax the law so that the Church may carry out missionary activities without any restrictions.
The Church had circulated to their flock a letter dated 18 July 2012, signed by the then CFM president Bishop Ng Moon Hing, which said, “Christians have not only been granted rights of leadership but also the responsibility of stewardship (of the Earth)”.
CFM’s “vision for a better Malaysia” requires Christians to prioritize a nation that rejects extremism and curtails racial and religious bigotry.

Unchecked freedom to proselytize

Bishop Ng’s CFM letter also said churches have a responsibility to guide their congregations to vote a government that is able to deliver a “nation wherereligious freedom to profess, practice and propagate one’s religion is allowed to flourish without undue curtailment from the law, restrictions or even prohibition.
  • The Christians want the freedom to berdakwah to all.
    .
  • They object to being restricted and prohibited from spreading Christianity.
    .
  • Their demand for equality rejects the laws that block Christians from freely propagating their faith.
Buddhists do not proselytize to Malays. Hindus do not proselytize to Malays. Sikhs do not proselytize to Malays. You already know only which group alone does.

DAP has become a Christian-agenda party

Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs do not put on a tudung or songkok and kain sampin to go occupy the mosques.
It is the evangelistas who do.
The Quran does not call Hindus “munafik”. The Quran does not call Buddhists “munafik”. The Quran does not call Taoists and Sikhs “munafik”.
Race problems have been with us for decades but religious strife is a relatively new development in our country. Religious conflict surfaced only following the coming to power of the DAP a few short years ago.
DAP is a party dominated by the Christian evangelists.
At a Penang Indian NGO building launch attended by the DAP Deputy Chief Minister recently, prayers were recited by the imam of the state mosque as well as by Christian and Hindu priests.
